Work Experience
Dr. Arup Kumar Ghosh is our institute’s Consultant in adult cardiac surgery. He has vast experience in a different spectrum of adult cardiac surgery and has worked in the specialty for the last 20 years. He has 100% survival in coronary artery bypass surgery (99% of cases are done off the pump and multiple arterial grafts). He also has vast experience in Mitral-Tricuspid surgery and aortic valve replacements.
He did his training in Cardiothoracic Surgery in the United Kingdom (CCST). He has done a fellowship in heart-lung transplant and ventricular assist device in Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital, where he has the opportunity to work with Stalworths like Dr. Asgar Khaghani and Prof Giles Dreyfus. He has also completed a one-year fellowship in advanced cardiac surgery at Cambridge Heart Unit (Papworth Hospital). During this time, he has been trained in multiple redo surgeries, valvular repairs, minimal access surgery, and TAVI.
