Professor (Dr) Suman Lata Nayak is one of the prominent senior nephrologists and transplant physicians in Delhi, NCR. Following her DM nephrology, Dr. Suman Lata established a department of Nephrology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. Before joining Narayana Health, she had developed the nephrology unit at ILBS as a centre of excellence for the region’s holistic nephrology care and transplantation.
In her quest to constantly improve patient care, Dr. Suman Lata has been actively involved in clinical research. Her research in the field of kidney transplantation, liver disease in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), tuberculosis and bone disease in CKD patients has made a significant impact on improving treatment protocols in an Indian setting. Dr. Suman Lata has achieved distinction in the ISN-AINO nephron-pathology course. She is a certified nephron-pathologist as well.
